Terms of Use

Ringa connects people with shops and helpers nearby. These are the simple rules for using it fairly and safely.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Akanksha Prashanth Shastri (founder of Ringa), Bengaluru, India (“we”, “us”) about your use of Ringa at ringa.co.in. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use Ringa.

2. What Ringa is, and is not

Ringa is a platform that helps people find and contact shops and individuals nearby. We are an intermediary. We do not sell the items or provide the services ourselves, we do not employ the people who answer requests, and we are not a party to any deal between users.

Prices, quality, delivery, repairs and safety are between the people involved. We try to make the platform trustworthy (profiles, reviews, codes, disputes), but we cannot guarantee any user or any job.

3. Your account

  • You must be 18 or older and give accurate information.
  • Sign-in uses your email. Keep access to that email private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • One person, one account. Do not pretend to be someone else or run a fake shop or profile.

4. How requests and jobs work

  • You can post a request, and nearby people and shops can send offers. You choose whom to accept.
  • A job starts and finishes with a code exchange between the two people. Only confirm a code when you have actually met and the job is done.
  • Payment is made directly between you and the other person, by UPI or cash, at the price you agreed. We do not hold or process payments and we are not responsible for payment disputes beyond helping with a report.
  • Reviews must be honest and based on a real, completed job.

5. What you must not do

  • Post anything illegal, harmful, hateful, sexual, or misleading.
  • Ask for or offer illegal items or services: weapons, drugs, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, or anything restricted by Indian law.
  • Harass, threaten or scam other users, or ask for payment in a way that bypasses the agreed price.
  • Use the platform to spam, scrape data, or interfere with how it works.
  • Share another person’s private information without their permission.

6. Staying safe

Meet in public places where you can, tell someone where you are going, and do not share your home address unless you are comfortable. Check a person’s profile and reviews before you accept. Requests default to “you go to them”. Providers can only come to your home if they are marked “Verified by Ringa”; that badge means we checked an ID they showed us at the time, and it is not a guarantee of anyone’s conduct. The start and finish codes confirm a job, not who someone is. Use Share my trip during a job, call 112 in an emergency, and use Report or Block if something feels wrong.

7. Your content

You own the content you post (your profile, requests, photos and reviews). You give us permission to show and store it so the service can work. You promise you have the right to post it and that it does not break anyone’s rights or the law.

8. Disputes and reports

Either person can raise a dispute during a job or within 48 hours after it. We will review what is reported and may warn, limit or remove accounts that break these terms. An account that is reported by several different people in a short period may be paused automatically while we review it. We are not a court and cannot force a refund or settlement between users.

9. Suspension and ending your account

You can stop using Ringa and delete your account at any time (see /delete-account). We can suspend or remove accounts that break these terms, put others at risk, or abuse the service.

10. Our responsibility

Ringa is provided “as is”. To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for losses from deals between users, from items or services you obtain through the platform, or from the service being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will tell you about important changes in the app. Continuing to use Ringa after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have as a consumer.
